DIG Pathak chairs meet ahead of key events in Ayodhya & R-Day

Jammu, Jan 19: To ensure strict security measures ahead of Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya and Republic Day commemoration in Jammu, the Deputy Inspector General of Police of Jammu-Kathua range, Shakti Pathak, chaired a high level meeting wherein security arrangements were reviewed and discussed.
The DIG impressed upon police officers, Superintendents of police , sub-divisional police officers , Station House Officers , and police post in-charges to focus on proactive planning and collaboration ensuring safety and security of people.
The senior officers present in the meeting emphasised on achieving a multi-agency approach, fostering coordination among various departments to create a unified front against potential challenges.
The DIG impressed upon police officers, to focus on proactive planning and collaboration to ensure the safety and well-being of the people.
The police officers were directed to ensure high security in the district and to remain extra vigilant about people coming to the city, hotel checking, naka (checkpost) alert. They were directed to tackle crowd control strategies and traffic management plans.
Meanwhile, the Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, also chaired a security review meeting with all security agencies at District Police Headquarters Samba.
The meeting was attended by the officers of Army, BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, GRP, Traffic, HG/CD, SOG, MI, CID-CI, DSB, CID-SB, Addl. SP Samba, all SDPOs, all SHOs, all I/C PPs, all I/C BPPs & other sister agencies.
A detailed discussion on various security challenges in the district was held in the meeting and a comprehensive strategy was chalked out to effectively respond to the critical situations.
The SSP Samba urged all officers to share inputs, past experiences, suggestions and requirements, if any, relating to the conduct of the Republic Day functions to be held at all venues in district Samba and 22nd January event.
SSP also stressed upon fool proof security arrangements as directed by the  higher authorities.
He advised all the officers present at the meeting to ensure alertness, work in tandem and to share the intelligence inputs in a highly sensitive manner to foil the nefarious designs of Anti-National elements and their mentors across the International Border.
SSP Samba stressed the need for round the clock alertness of NHW Nakas, strengthening of Border Nakas, surprise laying of joint Nakas and deployment of QRTs at strategic locations especially during night hours.
SSP Samba advised to intensify patrolling/surveillance on all the probable infiltration routes and adequate deployment on all the suspected drone dropping points on 24×7 basis besides laying of random night nakas/ambushes at identified vulnerable locations.
