Ganderbal, July 19: District Information and Public Relations in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district organized a cultural program at Baltal to facilitate the devotees of Shri Amarnath Yatra.
Dozens of the devotees who had gathered for Bhajan Kirtan and sang Mata Ki and Jay Shi Ram attended the program and enjoyed the religious songs at Baltal.
The annual pilgrimage is going on smoothly and in full swing, with lakhs of devotees paying obeisance at the holy cave through Pahalgam as well as the Baltal axis.
The aim of the program was to facilitate the pilgrims so that when they return from Darshan, they take with them good memories, an official said.
The devotees hailed the efforts of the district administration and Bhajan singers.
“I came here for the first time for Darshan and it was a great experience, especially when we returned after performing it,” said a devotee from Gujarat. “We witnessed the cultural program Bajan Kirtan and we are very happy about it.”
This is the true spirit of Kashmiris and I am extremely grateful to the J&K government for organising such a program at this location, said another devotee from Mumbai.
The stage was also decorated where Bhajan singers spiritually elevated the devotional songs. The melodious voices and heartfelt renditions of devotional songs left the audience spellbound.
