Srinagar, Aug 26: Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr Jehangir Bakshi Monday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the under-construction Civil Hospital in Pahalgam.
During the visit Dr Bakshi emphasized the need to prioritize essential facilities that are prerequisite as per the modern prototype of any CHC level hospital.
A spokesperson of DHSK said the director stressed the importance of completing the first and second floors at the earliest to benefit both the local population and the large number of tourists visiting Pahalgam including pilgrims who come for yatra.
During the visit, the director also inspected various sections of the old hospital building to take stock of health services being provided to the patients.
In addition, the DHSK conducted a post-yatra debriefing meeting and directed the concerned officers that special care be taken during the dismantling of medical facilities so that no garbage is left behind.
He appreciated the efforts of all health management and staff who delivered a smooth culmination of yatra 2024 via Pahalgam axis.
The visit underscores the Health Department’s commitment to enhancing healthcare facilities at Pahalgam Hospital and ensuring all necessary preparations are in place for future needs.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Anantnag, Incharge Officer Yatra DHSK, Block Medical Officer Sallar (Medical Director Yatra), Nodal Officer Yatra Pahalgam and other staff members accompanied the director during the visit.
