The rituals and traditions were performed by Vikramaditya Singh, scion of the erstwhile Dogra Royal Family of J&K. Students of Shri Ranbir Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya Birpur, run by J&K Dharmarth Trust also participated in the programme, seeking blessings on this significant occasion.
Notably, Chairman Trustee Dr. Karan Singh ji has specially ordered an exact replica of earlier Nandi Ji from Tamil Nadu, ensuring the temple’s heritage is preserved.
While addressing the gathering, Vikramaditya Singh expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to the restoration of this iconic temple. He mentioned that after nearly a year of diligent efforts, the temple’s renovation, including the reinstallation of Shree Nandi Ji, has been successfully completed today. He extended special thanks to Subash Chander, a dedicated devotee of Lord Shiva, for his invaluable contribution in reinstallation of Shree Nandi Ji. He also acknowledged the expertise of architect Vishal Abrol, who played a pivotal role in restoring the temple’s structure, which had suffered damage due to a natural calamity last year.
Vikramaditya Singh also expressed appreciation to the District Administration, Jammu Municipal Corporation, and the Police Department for their unwavering support in ensuring that the renovation work was completed in a timely manner.
Highlighting the Trust’s recent efforts, Vikramaditya Singh informed about the successful renovation of the ancient Gauri Shankar Temple in Pahalgam, which was recently re-inaugurated by Advisor to the Lt Governor, R.R.
