DGP Swain vows increased efforts following tragic loss of Inspector Wani

Jammu, December 07: Director General of Police, Jammu & Kashmir, R.R. Swain, expressed sorrow and condolences over the demise of Inspector Masroor Ahmad. Inspector Ahmad, who succumbed to injuries at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
In a heartfelt message, DGP Swain acknowledged the heroic service of Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani, who bravely served in the face of the persistent threat of terrorism. The Director General lamented the tragic loss, emphasizing the dedication of J&K policemen who put their lives on the line to protect communities from the shadows of terrorism.
DGP Swain reflected on the daily challenges faced by the police personnel in the region, even during moments of leisure, and highlighted the grim reminder of the perils encountered while safeguarding the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The sacrifices made by Inspector Wani and other police personnel were acknowledged as indelible marks in the memory of the community. DGP Swain commended Inspector Wani’s noble spirit and unwavering commitment, describing it as a shining example for all.
Expressing solidarity in the face of this heartbreaking loss, DGP Swain extended thoughts and prayers to Inspector Wani’s family, friends, and the entire police fraternity. The Director General emphasized unity in mourning and honoring Inspector Wani’s memory.
The cowardly attack on Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani, who was enjoying a moment of leisure, serves as a stark reminder of the vicious mindset perpetuated by terrorist networks operating at the behest of Pakistan. DGP Swain asserted that this tragic incident strengthens the resolve of the J&K Police to redouble efforts in combating terrorism.
Inspector Wani’s legacy of bravery and selflessness was highlighted as an ongoing source of inspiration. DGP Swain pledged to continue the fight against terrorism, reaffirming the commitment to safeguard the people of Kashmir and eradicate the menace from the region.
DGP Swain expressed hopes for Inspector Wani to rest in peace, assuring that his sacrifice would not be in vain.
