Jammu, Feb 29: Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Dinkar Gupta, visited the Police Headquarters (PHQ) where he engaged in discussions with Jammu and Kashmir’s Director General of Police, R.R. Swain, along with other senior officers.
Accompanied by Inspector General Vijay Sakhare and Deputy Inspector General Amit Kumar from the NIA, Gupta met with various high-ranking officials including ADGP M.K Sinha, ADGP Vijay Kumar, IGP B.S Tuti, DIG Ajeet Singh Salaria, and SSP Sandeep Choudhary.
The discussions primarily focused on the progress of ongoing investigations related to terrorist activities and strategies to bring them to a successful conclusion. Additionally, the officials exchanged insights on combating terrorism and disrupting the terrorist-separatist ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
Recognizing the importance of cooperation in countering terrorism, the officers emphasized the need for enhanced information sharing and coordination. Plans to improve cooperation levels, particularly in training, court proceedings, and personnel deputation, were also outlined during the meeting.
As a token of appreciation, DGP R.R. Swain presented mementos to DG NIA and IG NIA as a gesture of goodwill and collaboration.
