Jammu, July 21: Director General (DG) of BSF, NitinAgrawal, conducted a high-level joint security review meeting on Sunday to assess the operational preparedness of the troops along the International Border (IB) in the Jammu sector. Top officials from the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), and other Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) were in attendance.
Arriving on a two-day visit on Saturday, DG Agrawal aimed to evaluate the security situation following a recent increase in terror attacks in the region.
“During the high-level security review meeting, IG BSF Jammu briefed the DG about crucial aspects of border security and BSF’s strategy for maintaining dominance along the Jammu borders,” a spokesperson said.
Special Director General BSF, Western Command, Y B Khurania, and Inspector General, BSF, Jammu Frontier, D K Boora, also participated in the meeting.
The DG reviewed the operational readiness of the BSF troops deployed at the Jammu border areas and discussed operational aspects with unit commandants. Khurania, Boora, and other senior officers had earlier interacted with DG BSF upon his arrival in Jammu.
During his visit, DG Agrawal interacted with the troops, commending their dedication and professionalism.
