Baramulla, May 28: Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf on Sunday fagged off buses from Veerwan Migrant Colony Baramulla with a batch of members of Kashmiri Pandit community for the annual Kheerbhawani 2023. The annual mela was celebrated on Zesht Ashtami at Tulmulla in the Ganderbal district.
The yatries will visit the prominent temples in the district and will participate in the Annual Hawan and Mela at Mata Kheerbhawani Temple Tulmulla (Ganderbal), an official said.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional District Development Commissioner said that elaborate arrangements have been put in place for devotees for the smooth celebration of Kheer Bhawani. He also greeted the yatris and wished that the festival usher in an era of peace and prosperity in the district.
The ADDC highlighted the significance of preserving and promoting the age-old cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir and emphasized the need for safeguarding religious plurality and fostering an environment where all communities can thrive with mutual respect and understanding.
