New Delhi, Feb 20: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Thursday said Delhi has entered a new era which would unfold historic chapters of growth and development in tune with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat.
In a statement issued here, he said, “As the new government of the BJP took over today, Delhi has seen the end of an era of dark days in which false and fake promises were made by the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government to cheat and befool the people of the national capital.”
Chugh said the BJP government in Delhi would fulfill all the promises made to the voters. “In fact, the party will go beyond it to make Delhi a corruption-free state where welfare and development schemes would take the front seat,” he said.
Lashing out at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership, Chugh said, “After committing a series of scams in Delhi, the AAP leadership is now focussing on Punjab to promote mafias and gangsters.”
The BJP leader took a dig at the visit of Manish Sisodia to the schools of Punjab, saying that many already on bail in the liquor scam are now visiting Punjab government schools. “Teachers and children are asking across the state, is he the liquor wala Sisodia?” he added.
Chugh said the countdown for AAP has already begun in Punjab as people have realised the hollowness in the state governance. “People of all segments are feeling cheated in Punjab and are just waiting for an opportunity to throw the AAP government out,” he said.
