DDRC organises North Kashmir inclusive sports event

Bandipora, July 12: The District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) Bandipora, in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora organized North Kashmir Inclusive Sports Event at SK Sports Stadium Bandipora on Wednesday. The grand event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmad.

The initiative aimed to promote inclusivity, unity, and sportsmanship among diverse communities. The event showcased a range of activities, including Inclusive Cricket, Carrom, Chess, and Wheelchair Race, captivating the participants and spectators alike.
 
Under the visionary leadership of the District Disability Rehabilitation Centre Bandipora and with unwavering support from the District Administration Bandipora, the North Kashmir Inclusive Sports Event was designed to celebrate diversity and create an environment that embraces people of all abilities. By integrating various sporting activities, the event successfully bridged the gaps between different segments of society, fostering mutual understanding and acceptance.
 
Speaking on the occasion Dr Owais said that The North Kashmir Inclusive Sports Event offers a platform for individuals with disabilities, enabling them to showcase their talent, determination, and indomitable spirit.
 
The players demonstrated their exceptional skills and sportsmanship, reminding everyone that disabilities should never limit one’s ability to excel. The matches were fiercely contested, filling the air with excitement and creating an electrifying atmosphere for the spectators.
 
In addition to Inclusive Cricket, the event featured other engaging competitions. The Carrom tournament showcased the participants’ strategic prowess and precision, while the Chess competition put their mental agility to the test. The Wheelchair Race brought adrenaline-fueled excitement to the forefront as athletes demonstrated their strength, speed, and determination.
