District function to be held at Qamaria stadium; graceful functions to be held at Panchayat, Block, Sub-division levels
The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired the meeting of officers and other stakeholders to review the arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day function, here.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at Qamaria stadium Ganderbal where the chief guest will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the March past.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on various arrangements to be put in place at the venue for the National function, including preparation and consolidation of the main venue ground, podium, security, seating, transportation, barricading, parking, electricity, refreshment, medicare, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders, snow clearance and sanitation measures.
