Ganderbal, Aug 14: The District Administration Ganderbal under the leadership of DDC Chairperson Nuzhat Ishfaq and Deputy Commissioner Shyambir on Wednesday organised a mega Tiranga rally here.
The event witnessed a vibrant display of patriotism as thousands of participants from various walks of life came together to celebrate the spirit of the tricolour.
Starting from the lawns of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal, the rally traversed through key locations within Ganderbal town, with participants carrying the national flag and chanting slogans of national pride and finally concluding at Qamaria Ground. The rally was a vibrant celebration of the Tiranga campaign, aimed at raising awareness and fostering a sense of unity and patriotism among the people.
On the occasion, the DDC Chairperson and Deputy Commissioner emphasised the primary goal of the rally to promote awareness about the Tiranga campaign. They underscored the importance of celebrating Independence Day while honouring the sacrifices of martyrs and freedom fighters.
The overwhelming response to the mega Tiranga rally is a testament to the deep-rooted love and respect that the people of Ganderbal have for their country.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of school children, prominent citizens and government officials including ADDC, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, ADC Gulzar Ahmad, and members of various local bodies, all united under the national flag.
The Qamaria Ground, adorned with tricolours, was filled with an atmosphere of festivity and patriotism, further amplified by the singing of patriotic songs that resonated with the spirit of independence.
The event marks yet another successful initiative by the Ganderbal Administration to promote unity and patriotism within the district.
