Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Tuesday undertook a visit to Zewan area of District to oversee the progress of ongoing works being executed on construction of Migrant Transit Accommodation for PM Package employees.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer PDD, Executive Engineer PHE, Tehsildar Panthachowk, Nodal Officer and other concerned.
The Deputy Commissioner took a round of the various under construction Blocks of the Migrant Transit Accommodations. He was apprised that the work on the project for construction of 39 blocks comprising of 936 flats is going on in full swing and as on date an amount of Rs 67 crore has been expended against the allotted cost of Rs 112.34 crore.
While reviewing the present status of the project, the DC was informed that over 70 percent target under the project has been achieved with completion of civil works on 26 blocks comprising 624 flats.
The DC was further informed that 10 Blocks of Migrant Transit Accommodation for PM Package employees shall be completed by March 2024.
