Srinagar, Mar 18: The first-of-its-kind gaming arena in Kashmir was inaugurated on Saturday at The Inox Complex, Shivpora, Srinagar, named “The Pavilion Sports Arena.” Spread over 17,000 square feet, the arena boasts 100 different indoor games and activities, making it one of the largest gaming zones in India. Aijaz Assad, DC Srinagar, officially opened the arena during the ceremony.
The manager of The Pavilion Sports Arena, Mushtaq ul Islam, stated that they have collaborated with various NGOs that work for underprivileged children, emphasizing that the arena is not exclusively for children from well-to-do families. Mushtaq further stated that the infrastructure and management of the gaming arena are at par with other gaming arenas across the country.
Adnan Shah, the owner of the Fashion Fiesta brand, serves as the Managing Director of The Pavilion Sports Arena. He previously established a smaller gaming zone in a shopping mall in the city, which received an excellent response. Adnan stated that such initiatives are necessary in an era where children get addicted to mobile phones. He further emphasized that whenever parents take their children for an outing, they have no entertainment options available, which is why they made sure there are plenty of activities available at the arena.
Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Chairman of KVIB, was also present at the inaugural ceremony. The Pavilion Sports Arena is a much-needed addition to the entertainment industry in Kashmir and is expected to attract a considerable crowd.
