The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today convened a meeting to review the working of Agriculture and other allied departments in a meeting with concerned district officers of these departments in the district.
On the occasion, the DC reviewed the implementation status and progress of various flagship schemes and development works being undertaken in Agriculture and allied sectors.
The chair was apprised by the officers of concerned departments about the ongoing activities and progress thereof.
While reviewing the sector-wise performance of agriculture, horticulture, Animal, Sheep, Fisheries, etc the DC called upon officers to create more awareness among the masses about the different income generating schemes and modernization initiatives by organizing camps.
He emphasised for quick and time bound registration of farmers and families so that all schemes are saturated and benefits designed for the farming community are extended to them.
