DC reviews implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes in Dodas

Doda, Nov 07: District Development Commissioner (DDC) of Doda, Harvinder Singh on Thursday reviewed implementation of various beneficiary-oriented schemes here at a meeting held in the DC Office’s Mini Conference Hall.
The meeting assessed the progress and effectiveness of the welfare programs across the departments of Rural Development, Health, Education, Agriculture, Social Welfare, and Housing. Key officials from the stakeholder departments attended to provide updates and insights into their respective schemes, ensuring the intended benefits reach eligible recipients.
The welfare schemes discussed included PMAGY, IHIS, SHG bank linkage, Kissan Khidmat Ghars, PMFBY, the status of Smart Kissan Credit Cards, AIF application status, HADAP, Dakash Kissan, artificial insemination, ABHA, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, houses completed under PMAY (Urban), and others.
Discussions covered PMAY-G under Rural Development, Kisan Credit Cards, and PMFBY in the Agriculture sector, along with initiatives like the PM Surya Ghar Mukt Bijli Yojana under Science & Technology, besides Health department’s critical programs addressing issues like low birth weight, sex ratio, and the Janani Suraksha Yojana.
In the Education sector, infrastructure improvements were reviewed, including toilet construction in schools, access to drinking water, and electrification to enhance learning environments. Directions were issued to expedite processes, especially in areas with notable gaps, particularly remote areas.
The meeting also highlighted essential schemes within the Revenue, FCS & CA, and Social Welfare departments, aiming to address various welfare needs, including NFSA and NPHH coverage, issuance of caste and income certificates, and the Ladli Beti scheme.
Special emphasis was placed on the smooth execution of financial support programs, such as scholarships for SC, ST, and OBC students, and pension schemes under ISSS and NSAP. Officials were instructed to ensure that beneficiary records are updated and that schemes are effectively implemented.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the concerned officers to achieve the targets set by the Chief Secretary, which will be reviewed by ministers.
Additionally, the DC directed the CPO Doda to ensure all necessary indicators are in place for the next review meeting.
Further deliberations were held on initiatives like PMEGP and PM Vishwakarma for skill development, PM SVANidhi for urban vendors, and grievance redressal through the SAMADHAN portal. The Deputy Commissioner instructed all departments to streamline procedures and enhance transparency, enabling beneficiaries to access their entitlements without unnecessary delays.
The meeting was attended by ADC Doda Sudershan Kumar, ASP Headquarters Shakeel Ul Rehman, GM District Industries Centre Doda S. Parmjeet Singh, CPO Doda Manesh Kumar Manhas, ACP Doda Ashraf Haf, along with other district officers and representatives of various government departments.
