Deputy Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan today inspected the progress of blacktopping of Reasi-Katra road and directed for completion of the work between Nou Devian to Baradari Bridge by November 30th.
He also inspected the damaged patch of circular road Katra. He was informed that the work stands allotted and shall be started on 7th of November. He directed the Executive Engineer PWD(R&B) Katra to ensure that the work starts on the given date and is completed at the earliest. He further directed that the work of the construction and Black topping should be executed in the double shifts.
The Deputy Commissioner also took a round of the Katra town and inspected the condition of roads, status of cleanliness and also the movement of vehicles into and out of the town. He gave instructions to all the concerned to ensure that Katra town which is visited by around One Crore people gives a good feeling to the visiting pilgrims. He was accompanied during his visit by SDM Katra Deepak Dubey, Executive Engineer PWD(R&B) Katra & Reasi and EO Municipal Committee Katra.
