DC Kupwara flags-off 3 SRTC Buses to ply on various routes

In order to provide better transport facilities to the people of Kupwara district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray today flagged-off newly allotted 3 SRTC Busses from D.C Office Kupwara.

 

Chairman DDC Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori; DDC Member Kralpora, Adv. Masrat; DDC Member Kalaroose, Mustafa Rahie and District Manager SRTC Kupwara, Mohammad Akbar Shah were present on the occasion.

 

Talking to media persons, the DC said that the District Administration is committed to provide better transport facilities to the people of Kupwara district. He said these buses are equipped with state of art technology having reclining seats and safety features adding that the buses will also facilitate the tourists to explore different areas of the district. He also said that more buses will be allotted in coming days to ply on other routes of the district.

 

On the occasion, it was informed that these 3 buses added to the fleet in the district will run to and fro from Sogam to Srinagar, Guzriyal to Srinagar and Meelyal to Srinagar on daily basis via Kupwara town.

 

Later, the DC along with Chairman DDC and DDC Members took a ride on the SRTC bus from D.C Office to Fountain Chowk Kupwara town.

 

Meanwhile, PRIs and local people belonging to Sogam, Kralpora and Meelyal areas have expressed their gratitude towards the District Administration for making their travel to Srinagar easy and comfortable.
