DC Kupwara chairs DLRC meet

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today chaired the meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex, here to assess and discuss the progress of various developmental initiatives in the district.

The meeting began with a comprehensive review of minutes of the last meeting which were read out by Lead District Manager, Mehboob Ellahi Khan.

Heads of all the departments provided updates on the status of the projects, highlighting achievements, challenges faced and future plans for further improvement.

Addressing the meeting, the DDC who is also Chairperson of the District Level Review Committee, emphasized on financial inclusion and the implementation of welfare schemes for marginalized sections of the community in letter and spirit.

The DLRC members engaged in constructive discussions to identify innovative strategies for addressing the unique challenges of the district and ensuring equitable development

DDC directed all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with greater coordination and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets of financial inclusion, besides generation of employment for unemployed youth of the district.

DDC further directed banks for early disposal of financial assistance cases and instructed line departments to sponsor cases to respective branches strictly as per service area, within the stipulated time frame.

DDC directed banks and concerned line departments to ensure participation in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra for creating awareness about the financial inclusion, employment generation and ensure saturation of all the schemes.

On the occasion, Area Marketing Officer (AMO) Kupwara was directed to achieve the target of sponsoring walnut processing units under PMFME at the earliest, in coordination with the Department of Industries and other allied departments like Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture and Horticulture departments and ensure that FPOs are also targeted for the purpose.

While highlighting the overall performance for the FY 2023-24, LDM, Mehboob Ellahi Khan apprised the chair about the targets and achievements under ACP 2023-24, under priority and Non-priority sector.

 

DC directed LDM to ensure that there is substantial improvement in all the parameters, especially under priority sector before the next meeting to be held in the month of January itself.

 

The meeting was attended by all the stakeholders, including, JD Planning, Abdul Majeed Karnahi, LDO RBI Sanjeev Sharma, DDM NABARD Zubair Wasil, Head of all government departments, representatives from public and private sector banks.
