Kupwara, May 28: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray on Sunday visited the far-flung Narizub hamlet of Kalaroos and met the seven affected families whose three residential houses were damaged in a fire incident recently.
The Deputy Commissioner on the occasion expressed sorrow over the damage to the residential houses and other property and assured the fire suffers of all possible support from the administration.
On the directions of DC Kupwara, the district administration has already provided immediate cash assistance of Rs 60,000 to affected families under the Red Cross Fund.
Moreover, the administration has also provided 50 blankets, 7 Kitchen sets, ration, cooking stoves, buckets, and 20 pairs of clothes to the affected families.
On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, SDRF cases for each affected family have been prepared.
On the intervening night of May 17 and 18, two residential houses were fully damaged and one was partially damaged in a tragic fire incident at the remote Narizab hamlet of Kalaroos leaving seven families affected.
