Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today underscored the need for a proactive approach towards enhancing road safety in the district. He was chairing a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) to review implementation of the Road Safety measures.
Dr. Devansh Yadav, who is also the Chairman of DRSC, evaluated the progress of Road Safety measures implemented by the stakeholder departments to make travelling safe on District Roads.
A key focus of the meeting was assessing the status of installation of critical safety infrastructure such as Crash Barriers, Dividers, and Speed Breakers at vulnerable locations.
The Deputy Commissioner also took stock of initiatives aimed at rectifying black spots and accident sites by NHIDCL, BRO, PMGSY and PWD, as well as the fitting of safety equipment including GPS,CCTV Camera, VLTD in vehicles.
