The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir today visited transit camp Wandhama to have firsthand appraisal about the facilities being provided to the migrant employees there.
During this visit the DC was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mehraj-u-din Shah, CPO, executive engineer R&B, executive engineer Jal Shakti, CMO, Naib Tehsildar Tulmulla and other concerned officials.
On the occasion the DC enquired about the facilities being available at transit Camp for the migrant employees including water, power, road, development of park, parking area, health facility and other related facilities.
The DC also interacted with the families residing there who apprised him of several issues for which the DC gave necessary instruction to the concerned departments for timey redressal.
The DC directed the executive engineer R&B to take necessary measures for development of open areas and installation of safety railing along the road side.
Executive Engineer Jal Shakti was directed to ensure round the clock water supply and water tanks be cleaned where ever required on urgent basis.
On the occasion the DC also assured the migrant employees that a grocery shop and Jan Aushadhi Store will be established within the camp.
