Ganderbal, Feb 15: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shyambir on Wednesday chaired a public grievances redressal camp at Panchayat Ghar Fraw Haknar of Block Gund area of this central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The programme witnessed an overwhelming participation of PRIs, elders and local youth delegations from adjacent villages of block Gund including Surfraw, Ganiwan, Hariganiwan, Gagangeer, Sumbal Bala, and Checkigund who raised their demands with the DC.
On the occasion, the delegations apprised the DC of various issues and raised several demands of public importance, especially augmentation of basic facilities including completion of Sumbal Bala to Checkigund road under PMGSY, Sub-Division offices at Block Gund, upgradation of PHC Gund, commissioning of Degree College Gund, playground, education zone for block Gund, Medical Aid Centre at Sarbal village, upgradation of old water supply schemes, upgradation of roads, construction of a bridge over Nallah Sindh near Sumbal Bala and other issues.
The DC assured them that all their genuine demands shall be addressed on priority. He fixed the deadlines and instructed officers to ensure the execution of essential works on priority.
While replying to the issues and demands, the DC said the district administration is making all efforts to provide all basic amenities at the people’s doorsteps, especially those living in far-flung areas and tough terrains.
The DC also took an assessment of facilities related to line departments being provided to locals and gave on-spot instructions to the concerned to ensure improvement and better facilities for locals.
