DC chairs Aadhar Monitoring Committee meeting in Sgr

Calls for making all designated centres operational for Aadhaar saturation

Srinagar, March 12: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Wednesday re-viewed the progress of Aadhaar enrollment and its saturation in a meeting of District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee held here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
At the outset, the DC was given a detailed update on the Aadhaar enrollment and progress of its sat-uration in the district Srinagar through a PowerPoint presentation. The DC reviewed operation of designated Aadhaar enrolment centers, population without Aadhaar cards, registration facilities at school, Aaganwari centres, Health Institutions, age group wise enrolment and updation of Aadhar after a gap of ten years.
On the occasion, Dr Bilal emphasized to expedite the process of Aadhaar enrollment of the left out population of the district. He also directed for making all designated Aadhaar stations operational at Hospitals, Banks, ICDS centres and other departments to achieve saturation targets in the district.
He sought a detailed report on all aspects of Aadhaar enrollment with main focus on enrolment of the 0 to 5 year age group. He also reviewed the progress achieved under Aadhaar enrolment in other age groups including 05 to 18 years and 18 years above.
The DC urged the Officers to work with added zeal to achieve the desired results at the earliest to ensure enrollment of all citizens and enable them to avail benefits of different schemes. He laid stress on reaching out to the target population at their doorsteps. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Khalid Husain Malik; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Ai-jaz Ahmad Shah; Chief Education Officer, Shabina; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tahir Sajad; District Sta-tistics and Evaluation Officer, Mohammad Ismail Bangroo; Assistant Director FCS&CA, representative from UIDAI, District Coordinator CSC E- Governance and other concerned were present in the meeting.
