The Deputy Commissioner of Budgam Syed Fakhruddin Hamid on Monday ordered a magisterial inquiry into a fire incident that occurred at shopping complex in main Chadoora tehsil in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday evening.
The deputy commissioner of Budgam, along with the other officials from the civil administration and police department, visited the spot where this fire incident occurred.
While talking to the reporters, DC Budgam Syed Fakhruddin Hamid told the reporters that it was unfortunate that the fire incident took place in the area, but no loss of life or injury had taken place in that incident.
“A Magisterial inquiry will be conducted into this fire incident. So, the actual cause of the fire could be known properly, ” DC said.
He said that shopkeepers and commercial establishments should install fire extinguishers so that such incidents can be averted and damage minimised with extinguishers installed in shops as well as commercial establishments.
He said that people should take precautions in their homes as well as in commercial establishments as winter is approaching. So, such fire incidents will decrease across the district.
