Bandipora, Jan 30: To boost office punctuality, the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday ordered closure of gates of the Mini Secretariat at 10:30 AM to identify latecomers, marking a significant step towards ensuring efficiency in public service.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shakeel ul Rehman said that the approach will instill a culture of punctuality among government officials. By implementing this measure, the administration aims to enhance overall productivity and deliver more efficient public services, he said.
He said that the closure of gates will serve as a visual reminder for all employees to adhere to the designated work hours. This initiative aligns with the administration’s broader goal of boosting a disciplined work environment which will ultimately benefit the public through improved service delivery, he said.
He said that the move will elevate the standard of administrative practices, acknowledging that punctuality is a key element in providing effective governance.
As employees adapt to the new practice, it is expected that this initiative will contribute to a more streamlined and time-conscious work atmosphere, he added.
