Budgam,  June  25: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of the District Coordination cum Implementation Committee (DCIC) to comprehensively review the progress of various heritage-related projects approved under Phase-I, Phase-II, and Phase-III of the scheme titled ‘Revival, Restoration, Preservation and Maintenance of Architecture and Heritage in the District.’

The meeting held detailed deliberations on the implementation status of approved Project Reports (DPRs) aimed at the conservation and upgradation of several significant heritage sites and religious landmarks spread across the district.

DC took a detailed review of each project, assessing both the physical and financial progress, and identified gaps, if any, in implementation. He emphasized the cultural and historical significance of these sites.

DC directed all concerned departments to ensure time-bound execution of the ongoing works and stressed the importance of streamlining interdepartmental coordination for improved outcomes.

The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam, Superintending Engineer R&B, CPO Budgam, Executive Engineers of R&B and RDD, representatives from the Tourism department, Chief Education Officer, District Statistics & Evaluation Officer, and other committee members.
