Baramulla, Sept 10: In preparation for the upcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SA) celebrations, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Baramulla, Minga Sherpa along with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Mohammad Zaid today visited the Syed Janbaz Wali (RA) Shrine located at Khanpora, Baramulla.
The visit was aimed at assessing the ongoing preparations and ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place for the event.
During the visit, the DC directed concerned officers to ensure the provision of essential amenities such as clean drinking water, uninterrupted electricity and sanitation facilities at the shrine.
The DC emphasized the need for setting up adequate drinking water stations around the shrine to cater to the expected large number of devotees, ensuring that clean water is available throughout the celebrations.
Reviewing the arrangements for electricity, the DC stressed that there must be a continuous power supply during the celebrations, particularly for night prayers and gatherings. Backup power systems were also discussed to avoid any disruption during the event.
The DC instructed the municipal authorities to deploy dedicated teams for maintaining cleanliness in and around the shrine at Khanpora. Regular waste disposal and frequent cleaning schedules will be implemented to ensure hygiene, given the high footfall expected at the site.
Security arrangements were also discussed in detail. The SSP assured that a robust security plan has been devised to manage crowds and ensure the safety of all attendees. Police personnel will be strategically deployed around the shrine and surrounding areas to maintain order and facilitate the smooth flow of the celebrations.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to providing all necessary support to make this year’s Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SA) celebrations at Syed Janbaz Wali (RA) Shrine, Khanpora, Baramulla, a peaceful and well-organized event.
Later, DC Baramulla, accompanied by SP and ADC Sopore, visited Khanqah-i-Moula in Sopore to review preparations for the upcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SA) celebrations. During the visit, the DC emphasized the importance of ensuring all basic amenities are in place, including sanitation, clean drinking water, and uninterrupted electricity. The SP briefed on the comprehensive security plan to manage large crowds and maintain peace during the event, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for all devotees.
