In a swift action to address the grievances received  from the general public regarding inadequate healthcare facilities at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sopore, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today called a meeting of concerned officers at his office chamber, here.

During the meeting, the DC briefed the members about the complaints received by the office regarding illegal medical practices and promotion of private practices by the doctors of SDH, inefficient online service delivery, improper sanitation and hygiene among others.

The DC instructed the BMO to ensure strict adherence to the designated roster by doctors and staff, emphasizing the need for stringent action against any doctor engaged in illegal practices within the hospital premises.

He further entrusted the BMO to overhaul the online service delivery like ticketing, online reports of scans and other tests and make sure that those services are available 24*7 without fail.

To ensure optimal heat insulation inside the hospital, the DC instructed the concerned Executive Engineer to upgrade the entrance door with sensor-based open and close functionality to provide proper insulation against cold during winter months.

Minga Sherpa strongly emphasized the critical importance of enhancing sanitation facilities not only within the hospital premises but also in its immediate vicinity and issued strict directions for maintenance and upkeep of these facilities to ensure optimal cleanliness and standard hygiene.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, Chief Medical Officer Baramulla, Block Medical Officer Sopore, Executive Engineer R&B among others.
