District Administration Bandipora on Wednesday organised a public darbar cum grievance redressal camp at Markundal Naidkhai area of Sumbal Subdivision to get first hand appraisal of various issues faced by local people and other adjacent areas.
The public darbar was presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmed, and was attended by ADDC Bandipora Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, SDM Sumbal Aamir Choudhary, Exen R&B and Exen Jal Shakti Department.
The programme was also attended by DDCs, BDCs, PRIs and officers from Police and civil administration besides the general public.
On the occasion, the general public and PRIs put forth various demands relating to improvement of roads, drinking water supply, upgradation of schools, basic facilities in educational institutions, availability of teachers, transportation, health, children’s park, availability of tourist huts etc.
