The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ul Rehman on Wednesday inaugurated the first batch of training sessions under the transformative PM Vishwakarma initiative at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Bandipora.
The inaugural function was attended by ACR Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, Superintendent ITI Sahil Rashid and artisans and crafts persons registered under PM Vishwakarma besides others concerned.
During the program, the DC was apprised that in the first batch of cutting and tailoring, 45 candidates are taken up for basic training of 05 days under PM Vishwakarma.
It was informed that the scheme envisages 05 days basic training and 15 days advanced training with a stipend of Rs. 500 per day and certificate after completion of training.
