Srinagar, Mar 16: Prof. M. J. Warsi, The Dean Academic Affairs, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University held an interactive session with the contractual teaching faculty of the University to discuss academic policies, faculty concerns, and institutional development.

During the session, Prof. Warsi reaffirmed the university’s commitment to academic excellence and faculty welfare. The discussions covered key areas such as innovative teaching methodologies, research opportunities, and professional development initiatives.

This session was particularly significant as it marked the first opportunity in a long time for contractual faculty members to directly engage with the Dean Academic Affairs and present their concerns. The contractual faculty members raised several important issues, including salary hikes, timely interviews, recognition of their experience as per the higher education format, and the extension of their contractual appointments.

Prof. Warsi attentively addressed their concerns and assured them that the university administration would consider their requests in accordance with institutional policies and regulations.
