Srinagar, July 7: Dr.EliskaZigova, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India, held a productive meeting with business leaders and industry representatives in Jammu and Kashmir today. The interaction, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO), aimed to strengthen economic cooperation and enhance trade relations between the two regions. Dr.Zigova, accompanied by Adam Padhola, Third Secretary, and GuneetChaudhary, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic at Chandigarh, engaged in constructive discussions with key stakeholders, including industrial associations, trade bodies, exporters, entrepreneurs, and hoteliers.
The meeting explored opportunities for investment, tourism exchanges, and identified potential sectors for cooperation. The Ambassador expressed enthusiasm about Jammu and Kashmir’s economic potential, scenic beauty, and cultural richness, emphasizing the importance of such interactions in deepening mutual understanding and forging partnerships. She highlighted the Czech Republic’s strengths in automobiles, machinery, tourism, food technology, and horticulture, and expressed interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation in these areas. Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, J&K, highlighted opportunities in health spas, technology, tourism, handicrafts, and food processing sectors, and explained various aspects of NCSS package, J&K FDI Policy, and J&K Industrial Policy. The event also featured an exhibition showcasing unique products of Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the region’s rich cultural diversity and craftsmanship.
