Jammu, Dec 20: CVPPL won the ‘Maitri Cup (2024-25)’ T20 Cricket Tournament held at Cricket Ground of University of Jammu, Jammu from 19th to 20th December 2024. Ram Swaroop, Executive Director, NHPC Regional Office – Jammu, the Chief Guest of the event awarded the winning team of CVPPL in the presence of Chhotey Lal, GGM (Civil), Vasant Hurmade, GGM (E&C), Amrik Singh, GGM (Elect.), Madam ED, Madam MD and senior officials from CVPPL and NHPC on 20th December 2024. Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director, CVPPL congratulated the winning team through virtual mode.
The Tournament has been organized by CVPPL with a view of promotion of sports activities and developing team spirit and healthy competition amongst all employees of NHPC, CVPPL & NHDC.
In the final thrilling match of Maitri Cup 2024-25 in between CVPPL Vs NHPC, the CVPPL defeated NHPC by 6 wickets. Mudasir-Ul-Nazir of CVPPL was awarded the Best Player of the Tournament, Vishal Koushal of CVPPL was awarded Best Batsman of the Tournament and Nitin Pariharof CVPPL was awarded Best Bowler of the Tournament. A total of three teams including NHPC, NHDC (A joint Venture of NHPC & Govt. Of Madhya Pradesh) and CVPPL (Joint Venture Company of NHPC & JKSPDC) had participated in the tournament.
