Pulwama ,May 2 : Stressing the importance of cultural values in shaping the younger generation, BJP leader Ashok Koul on Saturday said that “cultural awareness is a must for the growth of our youth.”

Highlighting the need to guide young people, Koul said the youth must stay connected to the cultural and moral traditions of the land to develop a sense of belonging and responsibility, especially in the face of growing social challenges and materialistic influences.
Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, who attended as the guest of honour, called for collective efforts to build a drug-free and violence-free society. She urged people to safeguard youth from negative influences and contribute to a peaceful and progressive society.
"Together we have to create a Drug free & Violence free society. Together we have to safeguard our treasure, the youth from falling prey to the sinister designs of our enemies", said Dr Darakhshan.
Other speakers, including social leaders Arshid Bhat, Zaid Arif, and Ishfaq Bhat, also addressed the gathering, emphasising the role of community-driven initiatives in promoting social reform and positive change.
