CUK Law deptt wins inter-deptt cricket tourney

Ganderbal, Oct 31: Department of Law won the inter-departmental cricket tournament organized by the integrated B.Ed. and M.Ed. Department, Central University of Kashmir (CUK), the finals of which was played on 28 October, 2022.
The tournament final was witnessed by Hilal Ahmed Najar Sr. Asst Prof, Dr M Muzamil Shah, Sports Coordinator, Asst Profs Dr. Imran Ahad and Mr. Muhammad Yousuf.
The man of the match trophy was presented to BA.LLB student, Sohaib Ahmed while as man of the series award was bagged by Tufail Ahmed for his excellent performance throughout the tournament.
In a closely contested match between Downtown Hero’s and Arco fc, Downtown hero’s emerged as victors entering the semi-finals of the days tournament.
The first half ended 0-0 with Arco Fc creating some good chances but were unable to add the finishing touch.
Downtown Hero’s took the lead early in the 2nd half and doubled their lead shortly afterwards.
Later in the game Arco fc were able to half the deficit and further tried to equalise but were unable to do so.
Nabeel of Downtown Hero’s was declared the man of the match.
As per the fixture Third and fourth quarter final will be played between Ali Jana Fc and Syed tajjudin Fc at 2pm kick-off time and Mahraja Fc and Fc one at 5pm.
The tournament is organised by valley based NGO The positive Kashmir in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
