CUK holds 28th executive meet

New Delhi, Nov 24: The 28th meeting of the Executive Council (EC) of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) was held at IIC New Delhi with Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A Ravinder Nath in the chair.
The meeting was attended by members from the University Grants Commission (UGC), Prof. Parikshat Sahani, JKBOSE Chairman, Prof. Ajay Kumar Singh Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, Prof. Vandana Mishra, Professor, School of International Studies, JNU, Prof. Shahid Rasool, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Abdul Gani, Head Department of Management Studies and Dean School of Languages, and Prof. M Afzal Zargar Registrar, (member secretary).
Addressing the participants, Prof. A Ravinder Nath, gave a detailed overview about the functioning of the university and informed the members about the renewed measures and steps taken to further improve the administrative academics, and research ecosystem of the university. He referred to the progress made by the university after the conduct of the last EC meeting. Prof. A Ravinder Nath also provided an overview on campus development. CUK VC informed the members that strict timelines have been given to the executing agencies to complete the work.
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar took up the agenda items of the meeting.
The participants discussed the matters pertaining to recruitment and other administrative affairs and accorded approval to various administrative, recruitment and other items.
