Jammu, May 12: In an outreach to the citizens affected by the recent shelling incidents in the border districts of the Jammu region, Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo Monday visited Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu to enquire about the well-being of the injured admitted there.
Expressing solidarity with the victims and their families, the Chief Secretary personally interacted with each of the injured patients, assessing their recovery by moving bed to bed and engaging in heartfelt conversations. During the visit, Chief Secretary Dulloo also entered the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to check on the health status of two critically injured patients. He conveyed his deep concern for their recovery and encouraged the medical staff to prioritize the best possible treatment for all those affected. Highlighting the administration’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens, Dulloo directed the Principal of the College to ensure effective and timely medical care. He reassured the victims and their family members that the government stands firmly with them during these testing times, pledging full support towards their recovery and well-being.
He also appreciated the whole-hearted efforts of the medical staff and urged them to maintain the highest standards of care, emphasizing that every effort should be made to accelerate the recovery process. The Chief Secretary further emphasised that the administration remains vigilant and proactive in addressing the needs of those affected by such unfortunate incidents, reiterating that collective efforts are being made to minimize suffering besides expeditious recovery of all of these victims.
