Srinagar, Sept 14: In a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, the 61 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) successfully launched the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign on Saturday, focusing on cleanliness and beautification in the camp area. The event, held as part of the nationwide initiative, underscored the CRPF’s commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
The campaign began with unit personnel taking an oath to keep the surroundings neat and clean. A total of 152 particiepants took part in the drive, which ran from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, reflecting a strong synergy between the armed forces and the local community.
The event was led by Commandant Sudhanshu Shekhar, with key contributions from Awadhesh Kumar (2-I/C), Rinki Kumari (Dy. Comdt.), Virat Kumar Singh (Dy. Comdt.), Pawan Kumar (Asstt. Comdt.), and other officers and jawans of the 61 Battalion.
