CRPF Srinagar Sector Tug of War competition sees thrilling conclusion

Srinagar, Sep 05: The fervor of competition and the spirit of unity were on full display as the Srinagar Sector Inter Battalion/GC Tug of War Competition 2023 wrapped up its two-day run with spectacular matches that left the audience in awe. The event, hosted by the 54 Battalion of Srinagar Sector, CRPF, under the vigilant supervision of Commandant Prabhat Kumar Sandwar, witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, Mathew A. John, DIG, Range Srinagar South, and Jai Dev Kesari, DIG, Range Srinagar North.
 
The grand finale, graced by the senior officers of the Force, was marked by a stunning display of strength, determination, teamwork, and unwavering passion that held the spectators spellbound. Mathew A. John, DIG, Range Srinagar South, who presided as the Chief Guest, and Jai Dev Kesari, DIG, Range Srinagar North, the Guest of Honour, were treated to an impeccable March past by the participating teams, showcasing discipline and precision.
 
In an inspiring moment, Mathew A. John, DIG, Range Srinagar South, officially declared the games closed after taking the salute of the marching teams and addressing the gathering.
 
A total of 23 teams competed in the mega event, each vying for the coveted trophy. The 73 Battalion emerged triumphant as the undefeated champions of the tournament, while the 79 Battalion secured the runner-up position, and the 44 Battalion clinched the third prize.
 
Congratulating the victorious 73 Battalion and extending his best wishes to all the participating teams, Mathew A. John, DIG, Range Srinagar South, praised their exceptional performance and lauded the efforts of the 54 Battalion for the successful organization of the competition. He emphasized the importance of sportsmanship aligned with the ethos and culture of CRPF.
 
Commandant Prabhat Kumar Sandwar, 54 Battalion, expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour for gracing the event with their august presence. He commended all the teams for their enthusiastic participation, which had provided them with enriching experiences and cherished memories.
 
The Srinagar Sector Inter Battalion/GC Tug of War Competition 2023 showcased the dedication and commitment of CRPF personnel, not only to their duty but also to fostering camaraderie through sportsmanship.
