Jammu, Dec 25: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, visited the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Headquarters in New Delhi, where he met with senior officers and conducted a comprehensive review of the force’s operations and administrative efficiency. Several senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), including the Union Home Secretary, were present during the meeting.
The Director General of CRPF, Anish Dayal Singh, briefed the Home Minister on various welfare schemes for the families of martyred jawans, including compassionate appointments within the CRPF.
During the meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the CRPF’s crucial role in ensuring internal security and maintaining peace under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He acknowledged the force’s commendable efforts in combating naxalism and restoring stability in Jammu and Kashmir and the North-Eastern states.
Shah also emphasised the importance of promoting Hindi within the daily operations of the CRPF to foster linguistic unity. He encouraged the force to incorporate more ‘Shri Ann’ (millets) in their diet for better health and wellbeing. Furthermore, he urged soldiers to take advantage of Ayurveda and participate in the ‘Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan’ to gain personalised health insights based on individual constitution, promoting overall health and wellness.
The visit highlights the government’s recognition of the CRPF’s dedication to national security and its significant contribution to nation-building.
