Srinagar, March 24: CRPF Madadgaar Yojana, which is designed to help and assist the below poverty line people in the most backward areas of Jammu & Kashmir, provided sewing machines to enhance the work skills of people.
A CRPF spokesperson in a statement said, “In November 2022, applicants Shahida Mir resident of Ratsan Budgam, Taslima Bano, resident of Sonapath Budgam, Ghulam Mohammad Para, resident of Batapara Budgam, Nagina Akhtar, resident of Batapora Budgam and Shamima Bano resident of Dulja Uri, Baramulla who all work as tailors, made a request through Madadgaar Yojana by submitting applications and documents in 79 battalions to provide one sewing machine to each.”
According to the campaign running under the Madadgaar scheme, Kishore Kumar, Commandant 79 Battalion, they were provided with one sewing machine each to enhance their work skills, he said, adding, that 79 Battalion, CRPF, Srinagar, has always been working for the welfare of the people, development of social harmony, mainly organizing blood donation camps, various types of works under civic action, drug distribution, flag march to make people aware, de-addiction.
