CRPF Cup 2023 T20 Cricket Tournament:Day 6 showcases explosive performances and thrilling matches

Srinagar, Oct 28: The CRPF Cup 2023 T20 Cricket Tournament continued its riveting journey on the sixth day, with spectacular displays of talent and nail-biting matches that left the crowd in awe. Mathew A. John, DIG, Srinagar South Range, CRPF, was present at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, adding an aura of prestige to the event as he joined the teams for the toss and offered unwavering support to the players.
Match 1: Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium In the first encounter, Habbakadal Elites took on Cricket Team Gund. Cricket Team Gund showcased an awe-inspiring performance, amassing 249/7 in their innings. In response, Habbakadal Elites managed to score 156/10 in just 16.1 overs. The match concluded with Cricket Team Gund emerging victorious, sealing the win by a commanding margin of 93 runs. The standout player of the match was Mr. Aasim Imtiyaz of Cricket Team Gund, who dazzled the audience with a breathtaking display. He scored a phenomenal 135 runs, which included 15 sixes, all in just 44 balls. His extraordinary strike rate of 306.5 left a lasting impression. Not only did Imtiyaz shine with the bat, but he also contributed with the ball, claiming 2 wickets for a mere 8 runs in 2 overs.
Match 2: Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium In the second fixture of the day, Kashmir Tigers Sonwar faced off against CRPF XI. CRPF XI posted a total of 136/9 in their innings, which proved insufficient as Kashmir Tigers Sonwar chased down the target, ending with 140/4 in 15.2 overs. The victory went to Kashmir Tigers Sonwar, who triumphed by 6 wickets. Mr. Azad Gul, the star of the match, scored a brilliant 65 runs in just 33 balls, featuring 5 sixes and 4 fours, and an impressive strike rate of 196.9.
The highlight of the day was undeniably Aasim Imtiyaz’s remarkable performance, where he sent 15 deliveries soaring over the boundary ropes to amass 135 runs, igniting the stadium with excitement. The CRPF Cup 2023 T20 Cricket Tournament has consistently delivered exceptional cricketing moments, showcasing the incredible talent and fervor it has brought to the cricketing landscape.
With four more thrilling matches lined up for Sunday, October 29th, at both grounds of the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, the competition is intensifying as teams vie for a coveted spot in the semi-finals. Fans can look forward to more heart-pounding action as the tournament progresses.
