Srinagar, Mar 16: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Srinagar sector proudly concluded its prestigious inter Operational Battalion and Group centre units tournament on Sunday at the HMT complex, Zainakote. This grand event, spanning from March 14 to March 16, 2024, showcased the competitive spirit and camaraderie among the 23 operational Units participating in this tournament.
The tournament’s final match, a riveting contest between the 23 BN and 75 BN , was the highlight of the competition, drawing enthusiastic support from the spectators. The esteemed DIGP Ops Srinagar South, Mathew A John, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest, emphasizing the importance of sports in building team spirit and physical fitness among the forces.
Organized by the 44 BN the tournament was held at the iconic HMT complex at Zainakote, a venue that provided a perfect setting for the display of talent and sportsmanship. The event was also honored by the presence of the Commandant of all operational units , Second in Command Sh. P S Ghosh of the 44 BN and other senior officers from various battalions, who came together to witness and celebrate the spirit of competition and brotherhood.44 BN CRPF introduced a slogan “ROZ KHELO ,ZAROOR KHELO” advocating for the significance of sports in our daily life.
The final match was a testament to the skill, discipline, and determination of the participating teams. After an intense and closely fought battle, 23 battalion emerged victorious, claiming the championship title in a memorable victory. Their triumph is not just a win for their battalion but a celebration of the CRPF’s ethos of excellence, teamwork, and resilience.
