In a significant move gearing up for the 2024 LokSabha elections, Prime Minister NarendraModi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are set to kickstart the BharatiyaJanata Party’s (BJP) campaign in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir from April 9th to 12th.
According to party sources, PM Modi will address a mega election rally at Udhampur on April 12th, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a rally on April 9th in Jammu rural. Yogi Adityanath, another star campaigner for the BJP, will initiate the party’s campaign by addressing a rally at Kathua on April 10th.
The J&K BJP has meticulously planned the campaigning strategy and submitted it to the party’s high command, outlining the schedule for the star campaigners across different areas of the UT. The plan includes proposals for holding rallies in all 20 districts of J&K, catering to local demands and demographics.
The parliamentary elections in J&K UT, encompassing all five LokSabha seats, will be conducted in five phases. The schedule for each phase is as follows: April 19th for Kathua-UdhampurLokSabha seat, April 26th for Jammu-Reasi seat, May 7th for the newly created Rajouri-AnantnagLokSabha seat, May 13th for Srinagar seat, and May 26th for the BaramullaLokSabha seat in the Kashmir region.
As the BJP gears up for a robust electoral campaign, the presence of top leaders such as PM Modi, Amit Shah, and Yogi Adityanath underscores the party’s commitment to securing a strong mandate in J&K. With mega rallies planned across the UT, the BJP aims to mobilize support and consolidate its position ahead of the upcoming LokSabha elections.
