Srinagar, Dec 12: Senior officials from the Chinar Corps paid a visit to the 92 Base Hospital, BB Cantt Srinagar to inquire about the health condition of Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel, SGCT Hafiz Ahmed, who had suffered gunshot wounds during a terror attack in Bemina area of Srinagar.
Army spokesman said Chief of Staff (COS), HQ Chinar Corps, expressed their concern for SGCT Hafiz Ahmed’s well-being, wishing him a swift recovery. The incident occurred when terrorists targeted Ahmed in the Hamdaniya colony of the Bemina area in Srinagar on Saturday. The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army conveyed their best wishes for his health and recovery, he posted on social media platform ‘X’.
On Saturday evening, Hafiz was injured after he was shot at by terrorists in Bemina area of Srinagar.He is a resident of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district but presently lives in Bemina
A police spokesman said that terrorists fired upon & injured one police personnel namely Mohammad Hafiz Chad s/o Gh Hassan Chad R/O Bemina at Hamdaniya colony Bemina. He has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Area has been cordoned off. Further details shall follow, the spokesman said.
