The coordinated efforts of law enforcement agencies, community leaders, and NGOs can help us in achieving our goal of a drug-free Samba district,” she said, adding, “I commend the efforts of our women police officers who have done exemplary work in catching drug suppliers and peddlers.”
On Saturday, Sheetal Nanda visited Mandi Gurgalian of the district and inaugurated ‘Parisha’ – a child care institution for Girls Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Abhishek Sharma, MD ICPS, Harvinder Kour and SSP Samba Benam Tosh and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
The inaugurated ‘Parisha’ is a 25-bedded institution that has been designed to provide a safe and secure environment for girl children in need.
