Budgam, Sept 15: A former member of Jamaat-e-Islami and an independent candidate for the Beerwah Assembly Constituency, Farooq Ahmad Ganaie, on Sunday said that he has no alliance with any candidate backed by the AIP in the Beerwah assembly constituency.
Speaking to the Rising Kashmir, Ganaie said that he is contesting the elections as an independent candidate. He clarified that he had not formed any alliances with other parties or candidates in the Beerwah assembly constituency.
“I am running as an independent candidate; there is no need for me to ally with another party,” Ganaie said.
He further said that the rumours circulating in the Beerwah assembly constituency by some unknown persons are totally baseless. “As I am doing the election campaign separately, I will fight this election as an independent candidate.”
