New Delhi, Dec 25: The recent appointment of Ghulam Ahmad Mir as AICC General Secretary has brought immense joy to Congress cadres in Jammu and Kashmir and supporters who uphold the party’s ideology, selfless services, sacrifices, and contributions to nation-building, the party said on Monday.
It said Mir’s organizational skills and dedication to the Congress cause have been widely appreciated, making the announcement good news for the party supporters.
Congress in a statement said G A Mir has risen through the ranks, starting as a booth-level worker and progressing to become a national-level political figure, adding that his commitment and conviction towards the Congress Party have remained unwavering, and he has played a crucial role in revitalizing the organization in J&K and other parts of the country.
“Throughout his political journey, from the booth to AICC General Secretary, Mir has demonstrated a commitment to principled and transparent politics. He has consistently acted in the best interests of Congress, earning recognition and appreciation from the party’s high command.
