Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a gathering in Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir, stating that anyone promoting terrorism will face the same fate as Muhammad Afzal Guru, who was convicted for the Parliament attack and executed in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

Shah criticized National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah for suggesting Afzal Guru shouldn’t have been hanged, saying. He warned those promoting terrorism, “Those who would promote terrorism will meet the same fate as that of Afzal Guru.”

Shah also targeted Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, claiming his next three generations won’t be able to restore Article 370 provisions ¹.

He emphasized that PM Modi’s government ensured the end of the two-constitution culture in J&K.

Regarding statehood, Shah clarified that only PM Modi can restore it after the elections in J&K, as promised. He accused Congress, PDP, and NC of bringing terrorism, resulting in 40,000 deaths and 3000 days of curfew.

Shah highlighted the development in Udhampur, citing Delhi and Gujarat-like roads constructed under PM Modi’s rule ¹. He also mentioned the improved situation in Lal Chowk, where the tri-color is hoisted, and festivals like Muharram, Ganpati, and Janmashthami are celebrated without violence.(KNS).
